At Meadowvale Bible Baptist Church, we are committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children,   youth and vulnerable adults, participating in our church ministries. The mandate Plan to Protect® ministry   embodies our dedication to safeguarding the well-being of our community members through comprehensive   policies and programs. We provide essential oversight and guidance to staff and volunteers, ensuring that   everyone works cohesively to serve our community safely and responsibly.

Our Objectives:

To ensure each child receives a high level of supervision and protection from all forms of abuse.

To protect adults from false allegations of abuse.

To equip ministry volunteers with knowledge on protective measures.

Volunteer Application Process:

To uphold our commitment to protection, we require all staff and volunteers to complete the following steps:

Adhering to a six month waiting period.

Filling out and completing the Ministry Volunteer Application form.

Completing a Police Record Check, which must be renewed every three years.

Completing a face-to-face interview, including personal references.

Receiving  final approval from the Pastor.

Refresher training and certification each year

Why Protection Matters:

In an era where instances of abuse are frequently reported, the importance of protective measures cannot be   overstated. Since its inception in 1996, Plan to Protect® has set the standard for abuse prevention and vulnerable   sector protection. As a church family, Meadowvale Bible Baptist Church has a Plan to Protect® Policy that   establishes, to the best of our ability, the criteria for the provision of a safe environment for children, youth,   vulnerable adults and our volunteers.
